2 Tsp Olive Oil

1 LB Taco Seasoned 85% Lean Ground Beef

2 Garlic Cloves, finely chopped

2 Tsp All-Purpose Flour

2 Tsp Hot Sauce (such as Cholula), optional

8 Corn Tortillas, fried until crisp

One 16-oz. Can Refried Beans, warmed

Accompaniments: Shredded Lettuce, Diced Tomatoes, Shaved Red Onion, Queso Fresco, Guacamole, Cilantro Leaves, Sour Cream, and Lime Wedges


  1. Heat large nonstick skillet over high heat. Add oil then beef and sauté, breaking up meat, for 3 minutes, or until cooked through.
  2. Stir in garlic and 1 tsp. salt and cook 1 minute. Stir in flour. Add hot sauce, if using, and 1/3 cup water and cook 1 minute, or until sauce clings to beef. Season with salt.
  3. Spread beans over crisp tortillas. Divide beef mixture among tortillas. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, queso fresco, guacamole, cilantro, and sour cream. Serve with limes.
